Each island is unique

Discovered by Columbus in 1493, the US Virgin Islands were named for their unsurpassed natural beauty. Over time, the islands attracted many settlements, including the Danish for years, and even pirates such as the famous Blackbeard.

Today, the islands’ beauty is still a draw – attracting travelers worldwide. However, each island has its own appeal.

St. Thomas boasts an international harbor, stunning nature and exciting city-life. St. John has unsurpassed natural beauty on land and sea, since two-thirds of the island is a national park. St. Croix offers a laid-back experience filled with culture and history.


The US Virgin Islands enjoys a pleasant year-round temperature, and our seas are always warm and inviting. Average temperatures range from 77 degrees in the winter to 83 in the summer. Trade winds keep the humidity low. Our average rainfall is 50 inches, and there is not a specific rainy season.
