The ‘Magic Ice’ gallery is designed to provide visitors with a unique experience, appealing to visitors young and old. From the dazzling ice sculptures, LED light displays, fully functional ‘ice slide’, to the remarkable fact that temperatures can ever reach below freezing in the Caribbean, Magic Ice is sure to entertain the whole family.
With the admission fee, visitors are provided with warm clothing to wear during their tour inside, as well as a complimentary shot of Cruzan Rum from the ice bar. Since its grand opening in 2012, Magic Ice has invited many world famous ice sculptors to create the works found inside the gallery. You will find sculptures depicting the history of the Caribbean, from pirates, shipwrecks, and lighthouses, to animals, historical figures, and even a small chapel. The highlight for most guests (those over 18), is probably the large ice bar in the center of the gallery. The bar is cleverly designed to look like a shipwreck, and while we’d like to think that Iggies Beach Bar has the coldest drinks around, we might have to give Magic Ice the title of ‘coldest drink on St. Thomas’! For those visitors who aren’t quite old enough to enjoy cocktails at the ice bar, the slide is available for endless frosty fun!
If you are looking for yet another fun activity for your vacation (or day off!) on St. Thomas, and need a little break from the heat, check out Magic Ice! For information on admission prices, transportation, or general questions, contact our activities desk!
