Welcome to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

Greetings from Bolongo Bay. It’s been a beautiful beginning to 2018 in the Virgin Islands as we all work daily to bring these wonderful islands back to life. Nature and all its greenery have returned – and we’re not that far behind.

Rooms.  Looking for a room give us a call 1 340 775 1800. We are renting rooms right now but with limited services until June 1. Rooms have A/C but no TV service (hopefully soon), pool with swim up bar and a beautiful view, Iggies Oasis restaurant serving lunch and dinner daily, 11am – 9pm, and breakfast 8am-11am on Saturday & Sunday. The Bar has sports TV’s from a dish and is open 11am  to 11pm.

If you’re on a cruise or staying on St. Thomas, join us sailing on a Heavenly Days snorkel trip or stop by our new poolside restaurant pop-up at Iggies Oasis! It’s a temporary home for Iggies Beach Bar until we rebuild from the storms.

Call us. We have one incoming phone line, ringing on a cell phone (welcome to 2018!) so you can reach us at 340 775 1800. You can always email us directly at info@bolongobay.com or reservations@bolongobay.com.

Facebook. If you’ve been to Bolongo, you know where to find us. We share lots of daily updates and notes on our progress (and sunset photos, too). Instagram, too.

Reopening. After the Virgin Islands were severely damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, we had to close the resort while our islands and Bolongo recover.
We are having a soft reopening June 1, with one restaurant, Iggies Oasis, pool with swim up bar, beach and Heavenly Days Catamaran available. 30% discount offered through our booking engine or emailing reservations@bolongobay.com. You can also call 1 800 524 4746 & 1 340 775 1800 works as well.

Current Relief Work. Bolongo Bay is hosting local, displaced Virgin Islanders together with FEMA and the Department of Human Services. As well, we continue to welcome an incredible array of first responders, relief workers & national media. We will continue to do this through at least through May 2018, depending on the need.

Email Updates. Sign up for our email list to receive updates as we continue to work towards reopening to all visiting guests.

“Thank You.” On behalf of our entire staff and family, thank you to everyone who contributed to our Employee Hurricane Relief Fund. On top of this GoFundMe campaign, we experienced your generosity in the form of mailed checks, fundraisers at home, and even future guests donating their deposits. It tremendously helped many through hard times. You raised over $55,000. Bolongo also made a donation that matched our initial pledge goal of $25,000 – all of which was given to our employees.

Recovery. The Islands are recovering, the trees are green again, beaches are open for swimming, road repairs are happening, power is restored, Cruise Ships are back visiting, and while many of the hotels are still closed for rebuilding, we will recover.  We hope to be able to welcome you to beautiful St. Thomas and Bolongo Bay this summer, but ask that you come with an open minds as there will still be signs of what we have gone through and work being done around the island and our resort. Until then, please keep in touch on Facebook & Instagram and sign up to our email list.

The Doumeng family; Richard, Katarina, Mikael, Paul, Colleen & Scott Nieboer and all our Bolongo staff
